Actinica is a highly specialised medicated liposomal sunscreen which provides a high level of skin protection for high risk patients.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  • Liposomal technology allows sunscreens to target a unique combination of UVA and UVB filters to the upper layers of the skin
  • Provides a high level of UVA and UVB protection
  • Contains Sun filters which absorb, reflect and scatter UV radiation

WHO SHOULD USE ACTINICA?

Actinica should be used by people with a high risk of skin cancer such as:

  • People who have had organ transplants
  • People on immunosuppressant drugs
  • People on treatment for active rheumatoid arthritis
  • HIV positive people on concomitant medication
  • People who are UVA sensitive due to treatment with drugs
  • People who have a history of skin cancer themselves or in their family

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

  • To obtain the full benefit of Actinica please follow the directions from the information leaflet in the packet carefully. 
  • Apply Actinica to clean, dry skin evenly 20 minutes before exposure to the sun. 
  • Apply before use of moisturisers.
  • Re-apply at regular intervals and after swimming, excessive sweating or towel drying.
WARNINGS:
  • Avoid prolonged sun exposure especially when the sun is at its strongest (between the hours of 10am and 2pm).
  • Actinica should always be part of a sensible sun protection regime which includes wearing protective clothing, hat and sunglasses.
CAUTION:
  • Avoid contact with eyes (rinse thoroughly with water if contact occurs).
  • Use should be discontinued if irritation or skin rash occurs.
